We wanted to change things up on our blog from dog treats to human treats! This summer is quickly passing by and this recipe was a favorite dessert that both of our mothers, Wilma Henrietta and Petronela baked for family gatherings. This cheese cake recipe is on its third generation of family events and a delicious favorite! Enjoy!
Cheese Cake
Crust
2 ½ c. finely crushed graham crackers
¼ c. butter
¼ c. sugar
Cheese Filling
3 pkg 8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream the cheese, add sugar, add 1 egg at a time, add vanilla and put in crust.
*Cream cheese should be room temperature.
Bake 40 minutes – 9x13 pan in 350-degree oven then cool completely.
Topping
1 pt. sour cream
1 tbs. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Spread out evenly on top. Put in oven and bake 10 minutes at 325 degrees.
Optional serve favorite fruit on top.
